Powerball Jackpot Rolls to $930 Million for December 10 Drawing
Powerball is making spirits bright in the Sunflower State, as tonight’s jackpot has climbed to an estimated $930 million. Tonight’s jackpot ranks as the seventh largest in Powerball history and the game’s second-biggest prize this year, behind only the $1.787 billion jackpot won on September 6, 2025 in Missouri and Texas.
“This Powerball jackpot has been snowballing for three months, but that doesn’t mean players aren’t winning,” said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO. “Nearly 700 tickets have won prizes of $50,000 or more, totaling more than $109 million, including 32 winning tickets in last Monday’s drawing alone.”
If a player wins tonight’s jackpot, they will have the choice between an annuitized prize estimated at $930 million or a lump sum payment estimated at $429.0 million. Both prize options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5-percent each year.
Powerball tickets start at just $2, with the option to add the Power Play Multiplier and/or add Double Play to your ticket for an additional $1 each. Powerplay can multiply a non-jackpot win by up to 10X. Cutoff for entry is 8:59 p.m. on draw days.
Kansas Powerball tickets now have a option for an additional draw. The Double Play is a new Powerball feature that only 27 states currently offer that gives players another chance to match their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing with a top cash prize of $10 million.
Players are invited to submit all their winning and non-winning tickets in the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Players Loyalty program to earn points for drawing entries and a chance to win cash and other prizes! PlayOn® is a registered trademark of Pollard Banknote Limited used under license.
